Meeting Tonight

6:00 pm Thursday at the Mesilla Park Rec Center. 304 W. Bell St. If you are a skateboarder or have family or friends that skate please come out. We will be discussing how to take back our park from vandals and new ideas you would like to see at the park.

LCSC - Our Mission

The newly formed Las Cruces Skateboard Coalition are a group of men and women dedicated to providing a safe and fun environment for the public to enjoy the benefits of skateboarding while teaching stewardship. We are currently raising money and collecting donations to help with the development and stewardship of our local skatepark. Our coalition was formed as a platform for the local skateboard community to voice questions and concerns regarding our public skatepark.

LCSC will be hosting a regional skateboard competition and demonstration the weekend of April 5th and 6^th. This two day event will be our springboard to the community and also marks the 10^th anniversary of the Skatepark. We are asking for contributions to help pay for prizes, permits and advertising costs associated with the use of the facility. Any contribution will be of help. We are anticipating over a 1000 attendees each day of the event. Local and regional vendors will be recognized via banner space and event programs. Thank you for considering our cause.

Skateboard Contest

The LCSC is planning on hosting a Skate contest the weekend of April 5th and 6th. This two day event will have bands, local merchants and more. Practice up, there will be a beginner intermediate and advance categories. There will also be a best trick contest. Saturday will be the qualifying rounds with the finals being held on Sunday. Stay tuned for more! Practice! Practice! Practice!

Skatepark Cleanup

The Las Cruces Skateboard Coalition is looking for volunteers of all ages to help clean-up the skatepark. Organized clean-ups happen on Saturday's between 10 -12. Bring a pair of gloves, trash bags a broom, rake or bucket. The park needs some TLC so show up! Don't forget to bring your board!
